Who we are

We are the main organisation representing the business community of Emilia-Romagna, founded in 1972. 

Our members consist of the five Industrial Associations of Emilia-Romagna. Two professional associations also belong to our regional organisation: Confindustria Ceramica – the national association of the ceramics industry, based in Sassuolo (Modena) - and Ance Emilia-Romagna – the regional association of the construction industry. 

Through these associations we represent around 6.300 companies, who take out voluntary membership, making a total of approximately 320,000 individuals. In fact, 95% of our associated companies have less than 50 employees.

Confindustria Emilia-Romagna and the associations belong to Confindustria and, thanks to the Confindustria network, they are also linked operatively to all the national sector and professional organizations.

Additionally, we have an organisational and functional connection with AIOP- the Private Hospitality Association of Emilia Romagna (Associazione Ospedalità Privata dell'Emilia-Romagna).

What we do

The fundamental value that inspires our actions is the conviction that free enterprise and the freedom of economic activity, in a market economy, are factors that promote development and progress in the whole society.

To this aim we represent the requests and proposals of the industrial sector in its relations with institutions, with economic, political and social organizations and with all the other components of regional society. 

Our main areas of intervention are economic development, industrial policies, training and vocational guidance, the environment and land use, regional planning and programming, and the promotion of a business culture in Emilia-Romagna.
